Following Hurricane Melissa’s passage through eastern Cuba in the early hours of Wednesday, October 29, Iberostar Cuba Hotels & Resorts wishes to inform the global travel agent community that, after a thorough assessment of the impact, structural damage to Iberostar Selection Holguín and Iberostar Coral Holguín has been minimal. Restoration efforts are underway, and both properties are expected to resume operations shortly.

Operations will also soon resume at Iberostar Selection Esmeralda and Iberostar Coral Esmeralda, located in Cayo Cruz, north of Camagüey province. Guests at these hotels had been safely evacuated in anticipation of potential coastal swells caused by the storm.

Across the rest of Iberostar's destinations in Cuba, where no impact was reported, all Iberostar Cuba properties continue to operate normally. This includes:

• Havana: Iberostar Grand Packard, Iberostar Selection Parque Central, Iberostar Marqués de la Torre, and Iberostar Selection La Habana
   
• Varadero: Iberostar Selection Varadero, Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero, Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul, Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda, and Iberostar Origin Taínos
   
• Cayo Santa María: Iberostar Selection Ensenachos and Iberostar Coral Ensenachos
   
• Cayo Guillermo: Iberostar Origin Daiquirí and Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar
   
• Trinidad: Iberostar Grand Trinidad
