Cuba Tourist Board
Update: November 5, 2025

The Cuba Tourist Board is pleased to announce that tourism operations in Holguín have fully restarted on November 5, 2025, following a brief pause caused by Hurricane Melissa.

The first two commercial flights from Canada are scheduled to arrive today at "Frank País" International Airport in Holguín, operated by Air Transat and WestJet, marking a swift return to normal operations.

Recovery and rehabilitation efforts have been completed in record time, a testament to the joint efforts of local authorities, national task forces, and tireless hotel staff. Intensive sanitation work has been conducted, and essential services including water pumping, communications, transport, and electricity have been fully restored by the national utility systems.

Tourist facilities located on the popular Guardalavaca, Pesquero, and Esmeralda beaches have regained their full vitality. These resorts are ready to welcome guests today with the renowned hospitality that characterizes the Cuban people and guaranteed service standards.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the travel agents who have kept customers informed at all times and have worked tirelessly to rebook and accommodate their clients,” said Gihana Galindo, Director of the Cuba Tourist Board.

The Cuba Tourist Board encourages customers whose travel plans were affected to contact their travel agent or airline to reschedule their trips.
