WestJet has added extra flights from Mexico and the Caribbean up to and including February 14, 2021
February 4 - To repatriate its customers in the wake of sun cancellations, WestJet has added extra flights from Mexico and the Caribbean up to and including February 14, 2021.
The news comes less than a week after Prime Minister Trudeau announced that all four of Canada’s major airlines – Air Canada, WestJet, Sunwing and Transat – have agreed to cancel all sun destination flights through April 30, 2021 as part of ongoing efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 and all its new variants.
WestJet will continue to operate scheduled flights northbound from destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean up to and including February 14 to return guests to Canada. After this date, the airline will cease all operations through to April 30, 2021.
Any remaining seats on WestJet’s additional flights are now available for booking on westjet.com. Travellers are encouraged to make reservations online before contacting the contact centre for assistance.
The extra flights available for booking are as follows:
Up until February 14, 2021, WestJet may add additional northbound flights for Canadians. Travellers are encouraged to complete this form if they wish to return to Canada and would like to be advised of any additional flights WestJet may add.
A new landing page on westjet.com has been created and will be updated as flights are added. The page can be viewed at westjet.com.
