The CTA says the licence is subject to the conditions prescribed by the Air Transportation Regulations

WestJet has gotten the go-ahead for codeshare flights to Qatar.

The Canadian Transportation Agency has given the green light for the license.

The CTA says the licence is subject to the conditions prescribed by the Air Transportation Regulations, SOR/88-58, and the following conditions …

  • The licensee is authorized to operate, through codesharing, a scheduled international service, large aircraft, on the route(s) set out in the 2024 arrangement between the Canadian government and the government of the State of Qatar
  • The scheduled international service, large aircraft, is to be conducted in accordance with the arrangement and any applicable arrangements agreed to between Canada and Qatar.
