News / WestJet Group expands fleet with two new B737 MAX 8 aircraft
Enhancements expected in capacity and service offerings
The WestJet Group is adding another two new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft to its expanding fleet.
Leased from Aviation Capital Group and High Ridge Aviation, the aircraft are set to join WestJet’s operations later this year, furthering the airline’s capacity and service offerings.
This latest expansion is part of WestJet’s broader strategy to enhance air travel across Canada. The introduction of these new planes follows an earlier announcement in June where WestJet revealed plans to add three Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft from BOC Aviation Limited, and an additional aircraft from AerDragon.
WestJet has prioritized the reconfiguration of cabin interiors across its aircraft to ensure a consistent and enhanced experience for its passengers as part of its ongoing fleet modernization efforts.
