Due to the continued impact of the Omicron variant on WestJet and their third-party service providers, partnered with the challenging and extreme winter conditions prevalent across the country, WestJet announced on December 31, 2021, the consolidation of approximately 15 per cent of scheduled flights through to January 31, 2022. WestJet sincerely apologizes for the impact these changes have on the guest’s travel plans, the consolidation of flights was the best option to ensure the availability of WestJet frontline staff and third-party service providers, while minimizing the impact on the guests.
